We are pleased to announce that the 16th International Conference on Molecular Epidemiology and Evolutionary Genetics of Infectious Diseases (MEEGID XVI) will take
place on 14-17 November 2023 at the Hilton Dresden, Germany.
Organised by Elsevier, the conference will focus on health problems of specific interest to the present world: COVID-19, the spread of transmissible diseases linked to climate and ecological disorders, tuberculosis, AIDS, malaria, to name a few.
Plenary lectures and symposia will also deal with transversal topics, such as population genetics, evolution, speciation, taxonomy, phylogenetics and phylodynamics, modelling, and molecular epidemiology.
During the conference, awards will be attributed to the best oral presentation, the best oral presentation by a student, the best oral presentation by a scientist from the Southern World and the best poster presentation. The prize for each award is a fully waived APC to submit a paper to Infection, Genetics and Evolution and 500 EUR.
Selected papers communicated in the framework of MEEGID XVI will be published after peer-review in a special issue of Infection, Genetics and Evolution.
