Dr. Stoilka Tufkova, MD, PhD is a specialist in the field of clinical toxicology. She has completed a numerous specialized trainings for postgraduate studies in Bulgaria and abroad. Dr. Tufkova is part of the Medical Simulation Training Center since the beginning of its establishment. Main founder of the introduced simulation-based training in clinical toxicology and all basic medical manipulations and clinical procedures performed at the MSTC. She actively works for the annotation of the MSTC at MU-Plovdiv being the first accredited Simulation Center in Bulgaria. She gives basic and specialized courses in clinical toxicology and emergency medicine for students, postgraduates, trainee doctors and specialists.

Dr. Okan Aliman has a specialty in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, and since 2010, he has acquired a certificate in Invasive Cardiology. In 2008 he has gained a PhD in Cardiology. He participates in numerous scientific and educational forums, national and international courses, acquiring certificates for ALS, ILS, ATLS, and for holding medical lectures at the University of Nottingham. Currently, Dr. Aliman leads an angiographic team at the Multiprofile Hospital for Active Treatment “Dr. Bratan Shukerov” – Smolyan and participates in teams treating acute coronary syndromes on the territory of Plovdiv region. It offers basic and highly specialized courses in the field of cardiovascular diseases, including – Endovascular procedures.

Dr. Georgi Amaliev is a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology since 2007, who has undergone numerous postgraduate trainings in Bulgaria and abroad in the field of ultrasound diagnostics, pathological pregnancy, fetal medicine, infertility and endoscopy. At the ISTC of MU-Plovdiv, Dr. Amaliev conducts simulation training courses in the field of ultrasound diagnostics and gynecological laparoscopy for students, postgraduates, trainee doctors and specialists.

Chief Assist. Dr. Valentin Ivanov, MD, PhD is a specialist in the field of general surgery. He has undergone numerous trainings for postgraduate studies in Bulgaria and abroad. He is an editor in the peer-reviewed interdisciplinary medical journal of MU-Plovdiv – Folia Medica. His interests are related to breast surgery and laparoscopic minimally invasive operations. Dr. Ivanov is the creator of a utility model with an applied patent on “Realistic simulation model of the female breast, allowing biopsy and excision of non-palpable tumor formations under ultrasound control”. He gives basic and highly specialized courses in laparoscopic surgery for students, postgraduates, trainee doctors and specialists.

Dr. Kostadin Ketev, MD, PhD is a specialist in the field of pediatrics. He has undergone numerous trainings for postgraduate studies at home and abroad. In 2008, he started working as a clinical resident at the Pediatrics Clinic of the University Hospital “St. George” – EAD. Since 2014 he is part of the intensive care unit. He acquired a specialty in pediatrics in 2013, and in 2016 – a specialty in pediatric pneumology and phthisiatrics. In 2018 he has started working as an assistant at the Medical Simulation Training Center at MU-Plovdiv. Dr. Ketev is conducting research in the depth of effectiveness and training, preserving knowledge in the long term in a simulation environment, cyber-patient and in clinical environment.
It offers basic and specialized courses in emergency situations in pediatrics, as well as training basic procedural skills; such as lumbar puncture, intubation in childhood, cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The trainings are situated for both students, post-graduates and specialists.

Dr. Krasimir Djinsov is a cardiologist, Head of the Electrophysiology and Cardiostimulation Department at the Department of Invasive Cardiology at the University Hospital “St. George” – EAD, Sofia. Chairman of the Professional Association of Cardiostimulation and Electrophysiology in Bulgaria (SCEB). In his professional development he has undergone trainings at the National Cardiology Hospital and the University Hospital “St. Ekaterina” in Sofia, and in leading European centers in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Hungary, Slovakia and Croatia, where he has gained experience and knowledge in the field of electrophysiology and cardiostimulation. He holds an internationally recognized certificate for his competence in Electrophysiology, issued by the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) and the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). He is a lecturer and part of the organizing committee of a number of national and international congresses and conferences. He conducts seminars and training courses in the field of cardiology, electrophysiology and cardiostimulation of students, general practitioners, postgraduates and cardiology specialists.
