She is the Head of the Department of Midwifery Care and has been working at the Medical Simulation Training Center since its establishment. She participates in numerous scientific and educational forums, national and international courses. She is the author of the first study on the effectiveness of simulation training in Bulgaria. Assoc. Prof. Georgi Pavlov, MD, PhD, is a specialist in anesthesiology and intensive care. In 2007 he began working as a resident physician at the Clinic of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at St. George University Hospital, Plovdiv. In 2012, after successfully passing the state board examination, he obtained his specialty in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care. From 2011 to 2013 he was a full-time doctoral candidate at the Department of Anesthesiology, Emergency and Intensive Care Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical University of Plovdiv, and in 2014 he successfully defended his dissertation, earning the educational and scientific degree PhD with the thesis “Sepsis: Nutritional and Metabolic Support.” Following a competitive selection, he was appointed Assistant in 2014, Senior Assistant in 2015, and Associate Professor in 2020 at the same department. Since 2016 he has served as the National Consultant in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care for Southern Bulgaria. He has completed numerous qualification courses in anesthesiology and intensive care, clinical nutrition, research methodology, medical statistics, organ donation and transplantation, military medical training, and more.
He offers basic and advanced courses in emergency medicine, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, airway management, and establishing vascular access for students, medical interns, residents, and practicing specialists, as well as for physician assistants and nursing professionals.

Dr. Kostadin Ketev, MD, PhD is a specialist in the field of pediatrics. He has undergone numerous trainings for postgraduate studies at home and abroad. In 2008, he started working as a clinical resident at the Pediatrics Clinic of the University Hospital “St. George” – EAD. Since 2014 he is part of the intensive care unit. He acquired a specialty in pediatrics in 2013, and in 2016 – a specialty in pediatric pneumology and phthisiatrics. In 2018 he has started working as an assistant at the Medical Simulation Training Center at MU-Plovdiv. Dr. Ketev is conducting research in the depth of effectiveness and training, preserving knowledge in the long term in a simulation environment, cyber-patient and in clinical environment.
It offers basic and specialized courses in emergency situations in pediatrics, as well as training basic procedural skills; such as lumbar puncture, intubation in childhood, cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The trainings are situated for both students, post-graduates and specialists.

Dr. Valentin Stoilov is a specialist in anesthesiology and intensive care. Dr. Eray Kaymakam is a member of the Urology Clinic team at St. George University Hospital. In 2024, he was awarded the title “Student of the Year” by the Medical University of Plovdiv. He serves on the university’s Board of Trustees and is actively involved in academic and student life.
His professional experience includes work in a urology clinic, where he has refined his clinical skills and deepened his knowledge in both surgical and conservative urology. As part of a one-month university program, he completed training abroad, further enriching his professional profile.
Since 2025, he has been part of the team at the Medical Simulation Training Center of the Medical University of Plovdiv. He conducts hands-on training in urethral catheterization, venipuncture and placement of a peripheral intravenous line, and intramuscular and subcutaneous injections. He also works extensively with the UroSim simulator, through which he trains students in performing endourological procedures.
His professional focus centers on urology, medical education, and the advancement of simulation-based teaching methods. He combines high academic standards with a practical approach and actively contributes to the development of the university’s simulation facilities, helping to implement innovative and realistic training methods.
