Types of mobility
Staff mobility for teaching allows Higher Education Institutions (HEI) teaching staff or staff from enterprises to teach at a partner HEI abroad.
Staff mobility for training supports the professional development of HEI teaching and non-teaching staff in the form of training events abroad (excluding conferences) and job shadowing/observation periods/training at a partner HEI, or at another relevant organisation abroad.
Duration of mobility period
Period of mobility
The minimum period of staff mobility (for teaching or training) is 2 days between programme countries and 5 days between programme and partner countries. One day before the start of the mobility activity and one day after the end of the activity, i.e. 2 additional days are added to the period of mobility which is then used to calculate the individual grant support.
The maximum period of staff mobility (for teaching or training) is 5 days (12-14 days for some partner countries). One day before the start of the mobility activity and one day after the end of the activity, i.e. 2 additional days are added to the period of mobility which is then used to calculate the individual grant support.

Selection
The sending institution organizes formal procedure for selection of staff members who wish to come for an Erasmus+ mobility to Medical University Plovdiv.
At Medical University Plovdiv, the guiding PRINCIPLES underlying the selection procedure of teaching and non-teaching staff for participation in the Erasmus+ programme are: 1. Competition; 2. Up-to-date information about the selection criteria, as MU Plovdiv reserves its right to introduce additional criteria consistent with those of the European commission.
Teachers and staff on administrative positions are judged to be eligible for participation in the selection procedure and may subsequently be selected for mobility based on certain CRITERIA and CONDITIONS:
- Teaching staff members with longer teaching experience, professors and associate professors, as well as teachers with PhD will be given preference.
- Specific interest, previous contacts or previous cooperation with partners from the university for which the teaching staff member is applying will be considered an advantage.
