Department of Languages and Specialized Training offers Korean language course to their students and faculty with basic or no knowledge of the language.
Every language is a living structure and means for communication, and as such reflects the culture and traditions of a particular ethnic group. For that reason, this course will provide not only the basics in Korean language acquisition, but also information about Korean culture, traditions, and history. Here are some of the topics: history and development of Korean alphabet, phonetics and pronunciation, grammatical structure; socio-cultural dimensions of communication; culture and society in East Asia, practical expressions for daily activities.
