Signing an academic cooperation agreement between MU-Plovdiv and BAS

The Medical University of Plovdiv and the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences will sign a framework cooperation agreement on July 14.

Being a host of the event, that will be part of the agenda of the Academic Council of the University, the Rector Prof. Dr. Marianna Murdjeva will welcome the President of BAS, Academician Prof. Julian Revalski, DSc, and the Vice-President, Corresponding Member Prof. Evdokia Pasheva, DSc.

Before signing the academic cooperation agreement, guests will visit the Medical Simulation Training Center and the Auditorium Complex. The program includes joint meetings with the teams of the Department of Medical Biology, the Department of Medical Physics and Biophysics and the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology “Prof. Dr. Elisei Yanev”, so that the representatives of the BAS can be familiarized with the scientific directions in which the departments work. Opportunities for future scientific collaboration and joint research projects will be discussed.

The event is a natural continuation of the on-going cooperation between the two institutions, based on the idea of innovative science with European benchmarks.

The framework agreement is implemented in the field of scientific research and innovation activities, staff qualification, joint publications, and patents, etc.
