A New Service to Search All Online Resources the University Subscribes to via a Single-Entry Point
Lecturers, students, and administrative staff at the Medical University of Plovdiv have now access to a new and powerful tool to search multiple online resources from a single entry point – EBSCO Discovery ServiceТМ (EDS).
EBSCO Discovery ServiceТМ is a platform that allows users to search through all research and educational online resources that the Medical University of Plovdiv or the Ministry of Education and Science subscribe to and those published open access, using a single search point.
Users can quickly and easily find relevant content without having to surf multiple publishers’ web pages or search separate databases.
They can access the full text by clicking directly on a title from their result list. Users can search for publications, select a specific database, or browse resources by subject. Options to like, cite, share, or download documents directly from the result list and user dashboard make the research process simple and convenient.
Access is possible:
• From the university website, section Library at: https://mu-plovdiv.bg/en/about-us/centres/library-and-information-centre/resources/
• Remotely at: https://login.ezproxy.mu-plovdiv.bg/login using personal credentials (username and password) provided by the Library and Information Center, and then click on EBSCOhost.
A webinar entitled EDS – A Premium Tool for an Advanced Academic Research, presented by Tibor Foltinsky from EBSCO, is scheduled for February 28th, 2024, Wednesday, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.
