On-line entrance-exam registration

• The entrance exam consists of two tests – in Biology and in Chemistry plus English Language Diagnostic Test (only for non-native English speaker who do not have any of the required valid English proficiency certificates) and shall be carried out on-line (home-based) on the following dates:
• 25 April 2023 – Biology and Chemistry in English + English language diagnostic test – registration by 18 April 2023
• 16 May 2023 – Biology and Chemistry in English + English language diagnostic test – registration by 09 May 2023
• 20 June 2023 – Biology and Chemistry in English and in Bulgarian + English language diagnostic test – registration by 13 June 2023
• 18 July 2023 – Biology and Chemistry in English + English language diagnostic test – registration by 11 July 2023
• 19 July 2023 – ADDITIONAL RE-SIT EXAM ONLY – Biology and Chemistry in English and in Bulgarian + English language diagnostic test – registration by 11 July 2023
• 29 August 2023 – Biology and Chemistry in English and in Bulgarian + English language diagnostic test – registration by 22 August 2023

IMPORTANT!
In case the capacity of the exam places of an exam date is reached, the registration for it will be closed earlier than the deadline.
The applicants who sat the exams on 25 April, 16 May, 20 June and 18 July 20233 can re-sit after registration and payment at the ADDITIONAL EXAM on 19 July and the higher mark they have received in any of the subjects will be considered for participation in the rating procedure.
Taking first exam at the ADDITIONAL EXAM on 19 July 2023 is not allowed.
The re-take is not obligatory – it is additional opportunity, which the University gives the applicants in order to get better results. The University is not obliged to provide re-sit for all the applicants.
The applicants who registered for 29 August 2023 will have no opportunity for re-sit exam.
We recommend the applicants to register for earlier dates, so that the capacity is not fully loaded for the last exam dates.
Entrance exam fee for the first exam (nonrefundable) – 200 EU
Entrance exam fee (nonrefundable) for the additional re-sit exam date – 300 EU
The start time of the exams is EEST (+ 3 hours GMT)

• Only registered applicants will be admitted to the exams.
• The registration for the English language diagnostic test can be done only after the registration for the Biology and Chemistry exam for a certain exam date is completed. It is compulsory for non-native English speakers who do not have any of the required valid English proficiency certificates.
• The certificates must be loaded to the applicant’s profile during the registration for an exam date.
• The registration for the entrance tests will be carried out online at the University website by the applicants themselves or by their authorized representative.
• The registration is carried out in two steps:
• Payment of entrance exam fee (for one exam date only) – the fee is nonrefundable and amounts to 200 Euro – for the first exam, 300 EU – for the additional re-sit exam on 19 July 2023. It is required the fee to be in the University account not later than 7 days prior to the Entrance Exam date by card or by bank transfer.

IMPORTANT! All bank charges are at the sender’s account!

• Registration – indicating personal data, the programme of interest and the date of the exam.
• After the fee is received in the University bank account the applicant receives by E-mail
  an invoice for the sum paid.
• By using the No of the invoice the applicant can activate his registration and must fill in correctly the data required, the programme of study and the date

of the exam.

• The entrance-exam registration is successful when the applicants receives a Registration Form for the exam.
• For the additional re-take exam on 19 July 2023 the applicant should follow the same procedure:
• Payment of entrance-exam fee;
• Activation of the registration by using the invoice No and indicating the additional date of the exam in the Application.
• The Entrance-exam registration system is open from 01 March till 31 August 2023. The registration for each exam date is open until 7 days prior to the date of the exam only in case that there is free exam capacity for the exam date.
IMPORTANT!
Proforma-invoice indicates the sum due – the applicant cannot register with the No of the Proforma. After payment the applicant will receive Invoice which indicates the sum paid – the No of the invoice activates test registration.

• The applicants will need for the exam:
1. Computer/laptop;
2. Camera;
3. Microphone;
4. Headphones;
5. Network connection with parametres not less than 5 Mbps speed of download and 5 Mbps speed of upload. (The applicants can check the speed of their networks at Internet Speed Test/fast.com)
6. Recommended browsers for access to the distant exams platform of MU – Plovdiv: last versions of Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox

After the deadline of the registration each applicant successfully registered will get by E-mail Guidelines and instructions to online exam and after that link, user name, password and invitation for logging in the exam group.

The places in the exam groups for one date are limited and it is necessary the applicants to make their registration as early as possible!
