Quality Management and Accreditation

Structure and organization of the activities of the Quality Management and Accreditation Department (QMA) at the Medical University of Plovdiv

The Vice-Rector for Quality and Accreditation organize and supervises:

• preparation, drafting of documents, and conducting accreditation procedures, post-accreditation control, and capacity changes.
• preparation and provision of information for the university’s participation in external rating assessments and rankings.
• conducting audits and reviews of the management and certification of the Quality Management System (QMS) at the university according to the ISO 9001 standard.

The Vice-Rector for Quality and Accreditation also participate in the overall management and quality assurance of the main processes and activities at MU-Plovdiv:

• organizes, manages, controls, and is responsible for the work of the quality management system at the university, in accordance with the adopted regulations.
• studies and assists in solving problems related to the quality of educational, scientific, and administrative activities at MU-Plovdiv.
• manages a permanent system for the development of tools, methodological preparation, collection and analysis of information on opinions, suggestions and surveys from and to students, PhD and post-graduate students and academic staff regarding the quality of the main activities.
• coordinates the work of the vice-deans in the field of quality and accreditation.

The QMA Department coordinates and supports the main units in ensuring accreditation activities, maintaining and updating documentation related to these procedures, and providing information for management decisions.

The Department is headed by the Vice-Rector for Quality and Accreditation, who is assisted in his work by accreditation and rating experts and quality experts.
