Условия за кандидатстване

Кандидатите, които желаят да се обучават на английски език, трябва да докажат ниво на владеене на езика поне В1, според Общата европейска езикова рамка по един от следните начини:

• • Диплома за средно образование, издадена от държава, в която английският език е официален;

  • International Baccalaureate Diploma (получена при обучение на английски език);

  • Представяне на един от следните сертификати за владеене на английски език, валиден към датата на кандидатстване:

    • Cambridge English Language Assessment;

    • IELTS Academic;

    • TOEFL iBT (computer-based test);

    • TOEFL PBT (paper-based test);

    • PTE Academic;

    • Michigan English Test (MET);

    • Trinity Integrated Skills in English (ISE) exam – Trinity College London;

  • Свидетелство от подготвителен курс по езикова и специализирана подготовка по английски език от висше училище в България с обучение по медицина;

  • Диплома от езикова гимназия (където единия език е английски) с положена матура по английски език;

  • Чрез полагане на изпит – диагностичен тест по английски език в Университета, организиран по време на кандидатстудентската кампания;

  • Чрез полагане на изпит – диагностичен тест по английски език, организиран от Департамента за езиково и специализирано обучение в МУ-Пловдив.

За обучение в Медицинския университет – Пловдив могат да кандидатстват лица, притежаващи диплома за завършено средно образование, осигуряваща им достъп до обучение във висши училища:

• • Чуждестранни граждани:
    • на държави, които са членки на Европейския съюз (ЕС) и Европейското икономическо пространство (ЕИП);
    • Чуждестранни граждани на държави извън ЕС и ЕИП.
  • Български граждани, в т. ч. лица с двойно гражданство, едното от които е българско.

Чуждестранните и български граждани, завършили средно образование в чуждестранни училища, могат да кандидатстват след признаване на средното им образование в съответствие с чл. 165 от Закона за предучилищното и училищното образование след превод и легализация на дипломата и представен документ от Регионално управление на образованието.

Кандидат-студентите имат право да кандидатстват за една или повече специалности, но могат да се запишат за студенти само по една специалност.

В Медицинския университет – Пловдив не могат да кандидатстват лица, които са лишени от свобода, поради изтърпяване на присъда към началото на учебната година.

Кандидатстващите лица не трябва да имат заболявания, противопоказни за обучение и за упражняване на професията по специалността, за която кандидатстват.

Application documents

Application documents:

1. A printed, completed, and signed application form generated from the information system through the applicant’s profile.

2. A copy of a secondary (high) school diploma and an academic transcript indicating the disciplines studied and the marks received respectively.

3. A certificate of completed secondary education issued by the National Center for Information and Documentation (NACID).

4. An original document issued by a competent authority certifying the applicant’s right to apply and continue their studies in a higher qualification degree at higher education institutions in the country of origin of the secondary school they have attended.

5. The documents referred to in sections 3 and 4 shall be required if the secondary/high school diploma is issued by a foreign country/abroad and must be legalized, translated and certified in accordance with the regulations of the international treaties of the Republic of Bulgaria with the country in which they are issued. In the absence of the above-mentioned documents, the general procedure for legalization, translations and certification of documents must be observed under the general procedure.

6. A copy of a valid citizenship document (for applicants with dual citizenship – a copy of both documents).

7. Four recent passport-size photographs 4/5 cm.

8. Both the paper and the electronic version (on a flash drive) of the documents referred to in sections 1 to 7 shall be submitted. Each of the documents is scanned into a separate file, with the photograph in jpg format and the rest of the documents (including certified translations) in pdf format.

The documents in sections 1 to 8 shall be submitted to the Admissions Office at the Student Affairs Department during the following period – from 2 March to 11 September 2026 as follows:

• • Personally;
  • By an authorised by the applicant person. In this case, a notarized power of attorney letter (with legalization and certified translation) shall be presented;
  • By post or courier services.

Applicants who do not yet possess the documents listed in items 2 to 4 will be permitted to sit the entrance exams, participate in the ranking process, and enrol. However, they are required to submit the application documents to the Student Affairs Department – Admissions office no later than 11 September 2026. Enrolled applicants who fail to submit the required application documents within the specified deadline will be disqualified!

Specialties and Application deadline

Medical University of Plovdiv admits students in the English language degree programmes of the regulated professions for master’s or bachelor’s full-time degrees, according to the table.

*Note: For the specialty “Nursing” admission is possible solely on the basis of documents (admission score based no the marks in Biology, Chemistry and English from the diploma).

Entrance Exam – Syllabus, Test registration and fees

The entrance exam consists of two tests – Biology and Chemistry plus an English Language Diagnostic test, the tests are organized and administered by the Medical University of Plovdiv and are conducted in English language.

Entrance tests are held according to the programmes announced by MU-Plovdiv:

• Syllabus and istructions for the entry online exam in Biology;
  • Sample test for the entry online exam in Biology – with answer explanation;
• Syllabus and instructions for the entry online exam in Chemistry;
  • Sample test for the entry online exam in Chemistry – with answer explanation;
• Syllabus for the online Diagnostic Exam of English;
  • Sample tests with answer explanation for the online Diagnostic Exam of English.

Formation of the final competition score for the respective specialties

The final competition score for the specialties “Medicine”, “Dental Medicine” and “Pharmacy” for the master’s degree is the sum of the tripled marks from the entry test in Biology, the tripled marks from the entry test in Chemistry and the mark from the English Language Diagnostic Test. The maximum score is 42.00 and the minimum score is 21.00.

The final competition score for the specialty “Nursing” has two alternatives as follows:

• the sum of the tripled mark from the Biology entry test, the tripled mark from the Chemistry entry test and the mark from English Language Diagnostic Test;

• the sum of the tripled mark from Biology, Chemistry and English language from the secondary/high school diploma;

• In formation of the final competition score in both above-mentioned alternatives, the applicant participates in the ranking list with the higher score. The maximum score is 42.00 and the minimum is 21.00;

In case of a missing mark in the competition scoring formula or in case of a mark lower than the average (3.00), the applicants shall not participate in the final ranking list.

Ranking and enrolment deadline

Ranking for all specialties is done in descending order of the final competition score and in the order of the applicant’s desired choice of specialty and reason for admission.

Applicants shall be ranked according to the places approved by the Academic Board for the academic year 2026/2027.

Each month (from April to June) following the exams, one ranking with a respective enrolment deadline is announced.

The final ranking and the enrolment procedure is in September.

Schedule for ranking and enrolment:

An applicant who is ranked in a particular specialty is entitled to:

• To enrol as a student within the announced deadline in the course of study for which he/she has been ranked, following the procedure for enrolling students;

• To submit a declaration within the announced deadline (online) for participation in the next ranking (in case he/she is not admitted in the first specialty of his or her choice).

The applicants who have not enrolled within the announced deadline or have not submitted a declaration for participation in the next ranking shall be disqualified from participation in the subsequent rankings.

Applicants who are not admitted in the rankings from April to June may participate in the September rankings after submitting an online declaration for participation.

Записване на новоприети студенти

Класираните кандидат-студенти се записват за студенти в МУ-Пловдив в обявените срокове, както следва:

• приети от м. април до м. юни – онлайн;

• приети през м. септември – присъствено.

При онлайн записване (само за приетите от м. април до м. юни) в обявения срок от кандидат-студента се изисква:

• да подпише онлайн съгласие/декларация за предварително записване;

• да заплати с карта през личния си профил на кандидат-студент административна такса за предварително записване от 2000 евро, явяваща се част от таксата за обучение за 1. семестър на учебната 2025/2026 г., приета с решение на Академичния съвет (АС) – Протокол №1/29.01.2025 г.;

• в срок до 11.09.2025 г. да представи всички изискуеми документи, описани в Условия и документи за кандидатстване, в отдел „Учебни дейности“, като се доплати и разликата между таксата за обучение за 1. семестър на учебната 2025/2026 г. и платената вече административна такса от 2000 евро;

• в срок до 11.09.2025 г. да се запише за студент в Университета (лично или чрез упълномощен представител), като представи в съответните учебни отдели документите, описани в Условия и документи за кандидатстване

При присъствено записване се изисква:

• да се заплати с карта през личния профил на кандидат-студента семестриалната такса за обучение за 1. семестър на учебната 2025/2026 г.;

• да се представят всички изискуеми документи, описани Условия и документи за кандидатстване, в отдел „Учебни дейности“;

• да се подпише договорът за обучение срещу заплащане (платено обучение) по специалността;

• комплект попълнени документи за записване (от Университета).

При записването си за студенти в Университета (лично или чрез упълномощен представител) кандидат-студентите представят в съответните учебни отдели следните документи:

• Комплект попълнени документи за записване (от Университета);

• Копие от дипломата за средно образование и приложение/справка с изучаваните дисциплини и оценки (с легализация, превод и заверка);

• Оригинал и копие на Удостоверение за приравняване на дипломата, издадено от Регионално управление на образованието в България. Оригиналът се връща след проверка;

• Документ, издаден от компетентен орган, с който се удостоверява правото на кандидата да продължи обучението си във висши училища на страната, в която е придобито средното образование (с легализация, превод и заверка);

• Копие от валиден документ за гражданство (при кандидати с двойно гражданство – копие и от двата документа);

• Подписан договор за обучение срещу заплащане (платено обучение) по специалността;

• Снимки – 4 броя, формат 4/5 см.
