On the occasion of the European Antibiotic Awareness Day – November 18 and the 80th anniversary of the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology “Prof. Dr. Elissay Yanev” (November 29), we are organizing an Agar Art Contest: painting with microorganisms on growth media.
You can create your own unique artwork made of live bacteria and fungi at the Department between November 17–21, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The participants and their artworks will be announced on the Facebook page on November 24, 2025.
After evaluation, the three best artworks will receive awards in the following categories:

The award ceremony will take place on November 29, 2025 (Saturday) at 11:00 AM in Lecture Hall IV, during the official celebration of the Department’s 80th Anniversary.
