Medical University of Plovdiv welcome you to the Medical Simulation Training Center on May 20-24, 2024, where for the first time in Bulgaria will be held a course on the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) program of the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
Dear students,
On behalf of the Medical University – Plovdiv and Bulgarian Emergency Surgery and Trauma Society (BESTS), We invite you to take part in the first course for Bulgaria on Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), certified by the American College of Surgery (ACS). Participating in the course provides you with the unique and only opportunity to be trained under the mentorship of leading world experts in this field as determined by the AEA (ATLS Europe Association):
- Joakim Jørgensen – co-director, Chair ATLS Norway Chief ACS Region XV, MD, FACS, Consultant General/Trauma/Vascular Surgery, Department of Traumatology and Department of Vascular Surgery, Oslo University Hospital, Norway;

The program is appropriate for students of the “Medicine” specialty (last year of study, intern doctors), as well as teachers, residents, and doctors with an acquired specialization who seek to gain knowledge and abilities in the management, approach, and treatment of trauma patients in the “golden hour”.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive internationally recognized certificates. This course is referenced to the basic requirements for clinical work, valid for all hospitals worldwide. Top performers in the core course will be trained and certified as ATLS instructors.

Participation fee:
• Students – 400 EUR.
• Teachers, residents and doctors with an acquired specialty (with the potential of getting an ATLS instructor credentials) – 500 EUR.
