Based on contract № BG05M2OP001-2.009-0025 between General Directorate “Structural Funds and International Educational Programmes” and Medical University – Plovdiv for the completion of the project “Doctoral Training at Medical University – Plovdiv for Competency, Creativity, Originality, Accomplishment and Academic Excellence in Science and Technologies – 2 (DOCTORANT – 2)” funded by Operational Programme “Science and Education for Smart Growth” and part-financed by the European Union through the Structural and Investment Funds in completion of Action “Creating Research Potential and Favourable Conditions for Scientific Research by PhD students”, Medical University – Plovdiv announces the launch of a procedure for gathering applications by established scientists from countries of the European Union, for the provision of individual consultations to PhD students, postdoctoral students, and young scientists related to scientific research, new methodology, participation in projects, etc.
During their stay in Bulgaria, the selected scientists/researchers shall provide 80 hrs of individual consultations (up to 10 days, 8 hrs per day). Some of these hours may be conducted over the Internet (webinars).
Each scientist is entitled to an individual grant that covers travel costs and payment for their consultations. The travel costs and accommodation shall be arranged and covered by Medical University – Plovdiv.
Researchers who wish to participate in the selection process, must have expertise in the fields that the project target groups (PhD students enrolled in accredited PhD programs, postdoctoral students, and young scientists) work in, namely:
1. Cell Biology, Immunology, Regenerative Medicine
2. Pathological Anatomy, Histology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Oncology
3. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

1. A standard Letter of Interest (Template)
2. A detailed European CV (Europass template)

Applications will be reviewed by a Committee appointed by the Rector up to ten days after the submission deadline. The Committee will assess applicants, and inform them of its decision.
