Nailfold capillaroscopy is an instrumental method of increasing importance in rheumatology practice. The main indication for performing capillaroscopy is the presence of Raynaud’s phenomenon. In addition, rheumatology specialists have to diagnose patients with other peripheral vascular syndromes for which there are scant data on capillaroscopic findings. With the improvement of modern knowledge in the field of capillaroscopy, expanded indications for performing capillaroscopy should be taken into account. The course is suitable for trainees and specialists in rheumatology, dermatology, etc., as it covers both basic theoretical and practical principles in performing and interpretation of capillaroscopic examination, as well as innovative aspects regarding microangiopathy in rheumatic diseases based on the contemporary knowledge and the considerable practical experience of the experts.
