I wish to apply
Eligibility for participation in the selection procedure and subsequent selection for mobility are based on certain CRITERIA and CONDITIONS -> Selection
The date of the selection procedure and the members of the selection committee are decreed officially by the Rector of Medical University -Plovdiv.
Date, time and place of the selection are announced on the University web site, at public places at different University locations and by official letters to all Departments and Sections not later than 2 weeks before the selection.
Students who wish to apply for mobility should prepare the following documents:
- Transcript of records (for undergraduate students);
- Copy of enrolment letter as a PhD student (for PhD students);
- Certificate of foreign language proficiency (English or the language of the host country).
The application should be submitted on-line on https://erasmus.mu-plovdiv.bg/application
The applicants’ documents are assessed beforehand to determine eligibility for participation in the selection procedure.
A short interview is carried out at the time of selection. If necessary, language proficiency is additionally evaluated by University language teachers. If there is more than one candidate for one place, the most worthy candidate is selected and the rest are offered alternative places, if available. If there are more eligible candidates than the number of possible mobilities, those candidates are entered in a stand-by list.
A second selection procedure may be organised in case of insufficient number of candidates and remaining financial resources according to the signed contract between Medical University- Plovdiv and the National Agency.
The receiving institution reserves the right for final decision whether to accept the selected student or not.
Before I leave
The student contacts the receiving institution with the help of the Erasmus office. The sending institution (MU- Plovdiv), the receiving institution and the student sign Learning Agreement for Studies / Traineeship:
Download “Learning Agreement for Studies”
Download “Learning Agreement for Traineeships”
These agreements define the target learning outcomes of the studies / traineeship for the learning period abroad, specify the formal recognition provisions, including credits to be recognised, and list the rights and obligations of each of the three parties. The agreement must be signed by the three parties before the student can start the Erasmus mobility activity.
The different Higher Education Institutions may have specific requirements which each student should take into consideration before sending documents to the respective institution.
The participant passes an online language assessment before and after the period of mobility. The test is designed to determine the level of language proficiency and is NOT a criterion for selection. The participant with unsatisfactory result of the assessment should follow an online language course.
Before I return
At the end of the mobility activity the student should receive the following documents from the receiving institution:
– Certificate of Stay (for studies or traineeship) which certifies the duration of the study or traneeship period spent at the receiving institution
Download “Certificate of Stay (studies)”
Download “Certificate of Stay (traineeship)”
– Learning agreement for Studies / Learning agreement for Traineeship signed and stamped by MU Plovdiv as sending institution, the receiving institution and the student
Download “Learning Agreement for Studies”
Download “Learning Agreement for Traineeships”
– Transcript of Records which provides information about the academic performance and credits earned during the study period. The transcript of records is issued by the receiving institution.
