Research
The research activity of the Department is diverse.
One of the main directions in scientific research is the assessment of the analytical characteristics of modern analytical techniques and their application in clinical laboratory practice.
Another area of activity of the Department is related to the study of the involvement of oxidative stress in the pathogenesis of socially significant endocrine and liver diseases.
А scientific interest is clarifying the involvement of melatonin in the pathogenesis of neurological and endocrine diseases. An important role in the scientific activity of the Department is the clinical and laboratory evaluation of some hemostatic parameters in patients with malignant diseases.
Studies have been performed on thyroid function and the effect of thyroid dysfunction on some markers of bone metabolism.
Over the past 5 years, more than 50 scientific articles have been published by the members of the Department, 17 of which are in IF journals. During this period, the academic staff of the Department has participated with over 70 scientific reports in national and international forums.
